The Technical Service Specialist role is suited to a detail-minded, customer-first individual who thrives on building relationships and providing expert results.

Position Overview:

Reporting to the Associate Manager of the Group Retirement Services (GRS) Issue team, you will be responsible for critical tasks related to the set-up, maintenance and production of contractual material for new and existing business. You will work closely with New Business Specialists to finalize the website publication of client and member material, provide contractual material to Business Development and file pension contracts with Provincial and Federal regulatory offices across Canada.

This role offers a hybrid work arrangement; required two days per week in office and flexibility to work three days per week at home.

What you will do:

  • Accurate publications to GRS Access website for client and member documentation, following AODA compliance protocols
  • Daily communication with Business Development and other members of the GRS Issue team
  • Assembly of contractual material packages and timely delivery to Business Development for each new policy and during amendments of existing policies
  • Communication with regulatory offices for provincial and federal jurisdictions
  • Working as a member of a fast-paced team to meet service standards, and execute accurate results
What you will bring:
  • Minimum of two years current experience in GRS is required
  • Strong working knowledge of GPAS system and GRS Access/My Canada Life At Work websites
  • Demonstrates above-average accuracy and performance in current role
  • Self-motivated with an ability to effectively multi-task and handle tight deadlines
  • Excellent communication skills; both oral and written
  • Organized and able to work in a dynamic and changing environment
  • Sound working knowledge of GRS products, services and plan types
  • Experience communicating with distribution partners
  • Ability to negotiate in a positive, professional and collaborative manner
  • Strong interpersonal skills; must be a team player
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office tools including Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Proven reliable and dependable working habits; results-oriented individual
  • Reliability Status security clearance - this is a personnel security status that is required before an employee can gain access to Protected B information, assets or work sites as outlined by the

The base salary for this position is between $41,400.00 and $62,100.00 annually. This represents base salary only and does not represent other variable compensation components of our total compensation ( i.e. annual bonus, commission etc). If you are selected to move forward in our recruitment process, your recruiter will be able to discuss additional details of our total rewards program with you.
