Technical Sales Support - Toronto

Ahearn & Soper, a 140-year-old High Tech company, has a position open in Sales Support to assist Sales Representatives in the pursuit and sale of Turn-key Label Systems.

Position Summary:

We are seeking a dynamic and organized person to help our sales representatives assess customer needs, perform demonstrations, recommend detailed solutions, and quote entire systems. This position is a critical link between our sales teams, customers, suppliers, and other internal departments. The ideal candidate will be responsible for understanding the technology and products, managing administrative tasks, and providing technical assistance that drives sales.

Responsibilities:

Support Product lines include Label Printers, Automated Labelers, Labels, Design Software, and Service offerings Supplier relationships, business planning, price negotiations, research, and sales training Customer interaction including needs assessment, demonstrations, and recommendations. Working with Salespeople with site visits, quoting, and consultation Implementation of systems including specifications, tolerances, configurations, installations, or outsourcing Post-sales follow-up and communication with our Service Department to ensure successful outcomes
Requirements:

College or University Degree, Diploma or Certificate in related fields Excellent technical and problem-solving skills Strong computer proficiency including expertise in MS Office Suite (particularly Excel) Excellent trouble shooting skills to define and resolve customer needs Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with customers and internal teams Self-starter with good time management skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision Ability to effectively collaborate with a team Maintain excellent customer, supplier, and coworker relationships Reliable vehicle along with a clean driving record
Assets:

Experience with related technologies, suppliers, or customers Experience in design of Bar Code label solutions Experience with CAD software/drawings Certifications in related fields
Product training will be provided.
