This role is responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date aircraft technical records in compliance with company policies and Transport Canada regulations. Key duties include updating the Aircraft Maintenance System (AMS), managing Component History Records (CHRs), ensuring timely action of Airworthiness Directives (ADs) and Service Bulletins, and supporting quality assurance initiatives. The position requires generating regular reports, assisting with audits and technical research, and ensuring the integrity of all maintenance documentation. Strong attention to detail, knowledge of aviation maintenance regulations, and the ability to work independently are essential.
RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:
Have a thorough understanding of all Policies and Procedures within the Maintenance Control Manual (MCM), Maintenance Policy Manual (MPM), and Policy Procedures Manual (PPM).
Ensure all Airworthiness Directives (ADs) and Alert Service Bulletins (ASBs) are actioned as directed by the Director of Maintenance.
Keep the Aircraft Maintenance System (AMS) up to date on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis as required.
Update all aircraft technical records within the 30-day requirement.
Ensure all Component History Records (CHR) are accurate and reflect what is recorded in the AMS.
Ensure all publications and publication revisions are distributed in a timely manner.
Generate month-end and year-end reports, as well as tracking/status reports for employees, as required.
Participate in the development, planning, and implementation of technical recordkeeping systems.
Conduct or assist in Quality Control (QC) reviews of all journey logbooks and report non-compliance issues.
Provide technical research services for the maintenance department and other stakeholders.
Keep current with Transport Canada requirements.
Assist in maintaining and improving the company's quality assurance program and verify the effectiveness of procedures.
Assist in validating helicopter conformity through computer tracking of CHRs, ADs, and Weight & Balance data.
Perform assignments with a degree of independent judgment, maintaining company standards.
Maintain professional conduct and interpersonal skills appropriate to the role.
Flexible part-time hours.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Maintenance.

RECRUITMENTS:
Formal Education Requirements
High School, College diploma or University degree.
Related Work Experience Requirements
At least 1 year working as a Tech Record.
Experience in aviation is an asset.
Licenses / Certificate Requirements / Courses
Valid driver's license.
Computer Software Utilized
Microsoft Office applications, including e-mail, Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, internet, etc.
PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES:
Previous experience in a data entry/administrative environment
Good handwriting and mathematical skills
Have thorough knowledge or the Aircraft Maintenance System (AMS)
Proven ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision and possess a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including word and excel
You must have excellent communication, organizational and time management skills
Previous experience in aviation or working with records/regulations an asset
