The RVH Regional Digital Health is seeking a highly driven and organized individual with a passion for Technology. Our multidisciplinary team provides support to a partnership of 4 hospitals and many community healthcare groups, leading and supporting provincial, regional, and site-specific projects. The Technical Project Specialist will be an integral part of the overall advancement of technology for our partnership, joining a dynamic team of highly skilled and innovative staff who endeavour to bring the best in Digital Health to our region.
As a Technical Project Specialist, you will report to the Regional Service and Program Manager, specifically supporting the regional projects and reporting. You will be a critical team member in the Regional Digital Health (RDH) team, that provides projects support across the Regional Digital Health partners (Collingwood General and Marine Hospital, Georgian Bay General Hospital, Headwaters Healthcare Centre and Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre and others).
The successful candidate will have extensive background in leading Technical projects related to infrastructure, security, networking and integration. The successful candidate is also proficient in translating highly technical system information for non-technical end users.
The successful candidate will lead Regional Digital Healt project teams to successfully complete technology & informatics projects on time, within scope, and within budget and quality parameters. The role is responsible for the implementation of assigned Technical projects/initiatives that may require broad multidisciplinary, regional, and provincial engagement. Projects assigned will include operational, regional and Regional Digital Health Strategy initiatives.
The Technical Project Specialist leads RDH projects providing project management, operational, and administrative support to the project team, sponsor, champion, and Regional Portfolio Management Lead. The role will focus on projects, parts of projects, and/or sub-projects with scope development, scheduling, organizing, data gathering, progress updating, record-keeping, and reporting. Data quality in the PMIS (Project Management Information System - SharePoint Library) will be an operational responsibility, requiring proactive communication across a diverse set of teams, partnership hospitals, and cultures to ensure project updates are accurately reflected.
As part of the Portfolio Management team, the Technical Project Specialist assists in supporting project intake processes for Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre and the regional partnership of hospitals and updates the project portfolio tools as necessary to ensure accurate and up to date information is available for reporting. The Technical Project Specialist will make project and portfolio reports presentation-ready to assist the Regional Service and Program Manager to validate and harmonize communications.
