The Opportunity




Reporting to the Senior Manager, Building Operations, the Technical Operations Coordinator plays a key role in supporting the smooth operation of the Innovation Saskatchewan Research and Technology (R+T) Park in Saskatoon. You'll work closely with contractors, vendors and internal teams to manage service requests, support maintenance activities and help bring building projects to life!


We're looking for someone with a solid understanding of building management best practices, a sharp eye for detail and a talent for streamlining processes. You must be organized, an excellent communicator and committed to creating great experiences for our R+T Park community.

Primary Responsibilities




Duties include but are not limited to:


Providing guidance and support to the Technical Operations team by overseeing administrative tasks such as monitoring service request systems, coding invoices and updating MRI and Asset Planner. Establishing and improving administrative processes to ensure work requests are processed efficiently and completed on time. Coordinating annual operating budgets and quarterly forecasts for buildings in Saskatoon. Auditing work and purchase orders, along with accounts receivable and payable, to identify and resolve errors related to service contracts, tenant services, preventative maintenance and utility charges. Reviewing monthly variance reports to detect and correct errors and ensure accurate financial forecasting. Calculating energy consumptions and allocating costs accordingly. Scheduling contractors for preventative maintenance on buildings and equipment (e.g., fire alarms, generators, fire extinguisher, window cleaning). Coordinating project tasks, including gathering cost estimates, identifying suitable timelines and working with contractors and internal teams, to fulfill tenant service requests in a timely manner. Building and maintaining strong communication with tenants, contractors, vendors and internal teams to foster a positive R+T Park experience. Addressing tenant inquiries professionally to build and sustain positive relationships. Analyzing environmental sustainability initiatives for technical operations. Managing the CARMA electrical metering system to ensure accuracy of tenant billings. Performing other duties as assigned. ###

What We Want from You




5 to 7 years of property management, technical operations or building maintenance experience (preferred). Diploma in Business Administration (preferred). A clear Criminal Record Check (required). Extensive knowledge of building management systems, procedures and maintenance practices. Experience with estimating resource requirements, coordinating budgets and delivering accurate reports to support efficient operations. Clear, confident communicator with the ability to build and maintain positive, productive relationships with diverse stakeholders. Highly organized with a track record of delivering quality results while managing competing priorities. Applies sound judgment and strong analytical skills to solve problems, whether working independently or collaboratively within a team. Proficient understanding of Microsoft Office Suite. ###
