About the Opportunity
Reporting to the Director of Pharmacy, the Pharmacy Manager - Operations is responsible for the safe, effective and efficient provision of drug distribution services. The Manager works collaboratively with other members of the Department\'s Leadership Team to ensure compounding, preparation and delivery of medications for patients meet high standards for quality and patient safety and is aligned with strategic priorities of the Pharmacy Department and NSHA.
In addition, the Manager oversees drug procurement and inventory management, pharmacy practice assistant competency assessment and certification and health technology assessment (drug distribution systems). The Manager oversees the selection, training and evaluation of pharmacy practice assistants, students, clerical and support staff with respect to expected performance and competencies and supports the operational, fiscal and strategic objectives of the Pharmacy Department and NSHA. The Manager is also responsible to ensure that all programs and initiatives are consistent with the mission, vision, values, strategic directions and business plan of NSHA.
