Senior Manager, Pharmacy Services - Point of Care Testing
Reporting to the Director Pharmacy Services, the Senior Manager is responsible for developing and leading Patient Care Services programs relating to Point of Care Testing (e.g. A1C, Lipid, Strep, COVID testing, and others) and ancillary services across Shoppers Drug Mart and Loblaw Drugstore Pharmacies. They will utilize clinical knowledge along with business and market insights while working closely with internal and field operations teams to develop and launch strategic programs that position our pharmacies as the primary point of access to the healthcare system in the community.
The Senior Manager role balances strategy and planning, with execution and program delivery. The role will have significant exposure to cross-functional teams, working collaboratively on a day-to-day basis with business units including Analytics, Technology, Digital Health, Marketing, and Pharmacy Operations teams, among others. The Senior Manager will lead collaborations and ensure successful execution of Professional Service Programs and growth initiatives within the portfolio and will also be responsible for data analysis, forecasting and business case development for the team
This Pharmacy Services portfolio includes, but is not limited to, point of care testing (POCT) as it is a key area of opportunity for pharmacists across our country to offer more rapid and accessible testing results to Canadians in need. You will assess market opportunities to foster innovation and expansion of the portfolio with new go-to-market strategies, and support planning for enablement of new services based on provincial regulatory changes.
