Job Description

Our client is looking for a Technical Lead to work with engineers and architects to define work breakdown structure within the payments and financial core banking domains.

Location: Scarborough - hybrid - 2 times a week - Tues and Thurs

Duration: 3/29/2024 - good chance for extension - possibility for conversion to FTE

Business Group: Global Payments & Core Banking Engineering

Project: US Core Banking Replacement- embarking in a journey to replace the core of its financial system, with the initial focus on a smaller impacted are in US. The successfully implementation will support key business expansion objectives as well as laying down foundation to revamp Canadian and global core banking systems.

Responsibilities:

• Work with engineers and architects to define work breakdown structure
• Coordinate communication and collaboration in a cross functional agile team
• Construct plans and identify obstacles ahead, plan mitigation strategy and maintain execution momentum.
• Be part of the discussion of every facet of the delivery activity including requirements, story shaping, architecture discussions, testing strategies, prioritization, etc.
• Plan for MVPs, convey progress & elevate success & impediments

Must haves:

• 10+ years of work experience in Technology within the Financial Industry.
• 2+ years of experience working with Enterprise Architecture, Program Architects, and Product Owner in breaking down the work into workable tasks
• 5+ years\' experience working with Payments and Financial core banking domains. Knowledge of financial posting, settlement & account reconciliation.
• 5+ years leading cross functional teams with the ability to track development progress and prioritize development tasks
• 3+ years of experience working with diverse technology stacks including advanced ESB such as FTM, as well as legacy Tandem & Mainframe systems.
• 3+ years working with FIS core banking product (e.g. Miser)

Nice to have:

• Work experience in a full Agile development environment.
• Experienced in large migration program involving customer and operational impacts, with preference in Core Banking
• Previous experience working with banking application functions internal processes.
• Strong Data Analytic experiences working with data sets from different domains.
