Our client is seeking an experienced Technical Field Representative (TFR). The TFR will be responsible for new business opportunities in Alberta to grow the business including manufacturer provided leads, existing relationships, and new relationships with influencers. Main Responsibilities:
  • Develops client contacts and sets up meetings to position company through discovery and advance the sales process.
  • Develops the strategy to cover multiple geographies and industries in Alberta.
  • Transitions the opportunity for ongoing management after it has been won to Inside Sales and Customer Service.
  • Fanatically maintains Salesforce data to demonstrate a healthy and robust activity and sales pipeline.
Territory/Location Information:
  • Travel away from home base frequently to represent our client at customer sites, industry conferences and tradeshows in a safe manner.
Basic Qualifications:
  • Relevant experience in a high performing sales or closely related experience.
  • Must have plant or site technical background (you know which end of the wrench to grasp)
  • Experience working with manufacturer partners and/or strong understanding of the Industrial, Pulp & Paper, Oil & Gas, Mining & Minerals and Food & Beverage industries.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Red Seal Journeyman or Bachelor of Business or related degree highly preferred.
  • Previous role involving travel away from home base \xe2\x80\x93 being on the road again and again!
  • Broad and comprehensive knowledge within a multidimensional industry and/or selling mechanical and technical products or services.
  • Intermediate Technology knowledge which is vital for the role: hardware and SaaS instances.
  • Strong relationship skills, relationship maturity and confidence to develop relationships at decision maker level.
  • Strong planning and organizational skills and demonstration of how you work in the future.
  • Strong independence mentality to operate day to day in alignment with company strategy.
  • Excellent communication skills including presentation, written and verbal.
  • Business acumen across industries and business levels \xe2\x80\x93 project, specifications, operations.
  • Curiosity, adaptability, and learnability are critical to achieving a cadence to contribute immediately.
  • Working experience of a sales process. (preferred, but will provide learning environment).
