We are looking for a Technical Sales Representative to join our growing team at FICANEX Technology Inc. You will be working for FICANEX Technology Inc. a wholly owned subsidiary of Prodigy Ventures that is focused on supporting financial institutions in delivering business critical services to end consumers.

Reporting to the Vice President of Digital Product, the Technical Sales Representative will be given an exciting opportunity to join a growing business and work with the best financial institutions in Canada. In this position, the Technical Sales Representative will drive sales and integrations for tunl.; Canada's first Open Banking marketplace and integration platform.

We are seeking some with a development background who loves collaborating with end customers. The successful individual will be passionate about API development, an expert communicator and a master in leading complex technical integration discussions. You will act as a trusted advisor to prospective customers by demonstrating how tunl. can help banks and credit unions expedite their digital transformation by easily integration with cutting edge tech companies across the globe. You will be responsible for actively driving and managing the technology evaluation and integration discussions throughout the sales process and be a key technical advisor and product advocate for tunl.

Please Note: We have a hybrid work environment, however the majority of our staff work remotely on a regular basis. Due to the nature of this role, we prefer living within the GTA, though will consider candidates elsewhere in Canada. Successful candidates will need to complete a background check.

Requirements:

  • Technical support to the Strategic Relationship Executive, including attending client meetings and conducting tunl. product demos
  • Responding to and following up on technical questions or inquiries from customers, working closely with our platform partners, Finconecta
  • Consulting directly with clients to develop optimal integration architecture for tunl. to their existing platforms/systems, typically legacy banking products
  • Becoming and expert on, and consulting with end clients on Open Banking technical best practices, including supporting Marketing team in related articles and content
  • Providing technical support, client feedback and advice (as required) to product team to enhance the tunl. product
  • Responsible for representing the product to customers and at field events such as conferences, seminars, etc.
  • Own the technical sales process from start to end, working to identify, qualify and scope opportunities, build and maintain account and territory plans, and execute proof of concept engagements as needed to convert opportunities into victories
  • Making workflow and use case recommendations
  • Working with development partners to troubleshooting technical configuration issues.
  • Respond to functional and technical elements of RFIs/RFPs
  • Travel throughout sales territory when required
  • Other related duties as assigned
Qualifications and Experience
  • 3+ years of API development experience using RESTful services and/or SOAP services
  • 2+ years of experience working directly with end clients to implement technology solutions
  • Prior experience in technical sales or consulting role an asset
  • Experience with banking related API and security frameworks and standards an asset e.g., PSD2, FDX and OAuth 2.0
  • Experience with API gateway platforms an asset e.g., Mulesoft, NGINX, Layer7 or Apogee
  • Experience working with common Canadian core banking systems an asset e.g., Temenos, Fiserv DNA, Wealthview/Ovation, CGI RFS 360.
  • B.S./B.A. in computer science, engineering or information systems.
  • Ability to establish and maintain strong relationships throughout the sales cycle
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in emails, RFPs, and reports
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Organized, analytical, creative and adaptive in approach and finding solutions
  • Independent and the ability to work effectively remotely or in office
  • Excellent organization, prioritization, and time management skills
  • Strong proficiency using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other relevant software
  • Ability to present a highly professional image
  • Ability to maintain discretion with confidential information
