In your role, you will:

Lead and coordinate the execution of Loads activities

• Define scope of work and validate Level of Effort
• Ensure quality of work (First Time Right) by providing timely and continuous guidance to Loads staff
• Act as peer reviewer and technical approver
• Ensure common approach among various programs
• Support problem solving in the Knowledge Domain across product lines
• Lead and coordinate PR investigation and resolution process for A/C level issues using Problem Solving Sheet (PSS) methodology and close the loop with Lessons Learned
• Maintain a strong relationship with the leadership team to advise and provide constructive feedback

Lead and coordinate the Loads Knowledge Domain, Strat-Tech and Innovation

• Define a Loads Knowledge Domain vision, strategy and development plan;
• Plan, update and expand the Bombardier Engineering System (BES) for Loads
• Develop and capture loads activities in Bombardier Manuals, ensure adherence to loads processes and BES practices.
• Propose the implementation of Loads technical innovations, based on knowledge of industry trends, through Advanced Design and Strategic Technology
• Lead and influence Strategic Technology initiatives related to Loads and stay abreast of new technologies to reduce loads
• Provide guidance and recommendations on emerging new techniques to improve aircraft efficiency, processes efficiency, reduce cycle time of loads analyses, while ensuring First Time Right

Lead and coordinate the Loads Talent development

• Identify and develop engineers and DADs in the field of loads
• Identify skills gaps and plan and manage its closure
• Focus on new employee training
• Lead and coordinate discussions with Bombardier Defense and external suppliers
• Influence to continuously improve the loads loop process
• Act as Loads official position in front of Bombardier Defense and external clients

Lead aircraft level requirements development and validation & verification efforts in the field of loads.

• Support DR&O development
• Define the company\'s approach for new or novel regulatory elements;
• Recommend new cost-effective engineering solutions through Knowledge Domains and Programs
• Identify opportunities with Sourcing for program cost savings

Qualifications

As our ideal candidate,

• You hold a Bachelor\'s in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering. A higher education would be an asset
• You have more than 20 years of relevant experience in the field of Loads in the aerospace industry
• You have more than 10 years of experience leading a team of engineers working on Loads loops, from the planning phase, execution, risk management to project completion
• You have good organizational skills in planning work activities and completing tasks within budget and on schedule
• You are able to use engineering judgment to optimize the scope of work and define the adequate level of quality
• You have a good understanding of the FAR 25 certification requirements. Having a good working relation with Canadian, European and US certification authorities is an asset
• You have a strong background in static and dynamic aeroelastic loads analyses
• You have good analytical thinking, problem solving, and communication skills (both written and verbal) and ability to work under pressure
• You have strong relationship skills
• You are recognized as an expert in the field of Loads
