The Role: Technical Compliance Specialist

The Role:
Agrocrop is looking for an experienced Technical Compliance Specialist with a strong technical background and will to learn attitude. Reporting to the Product & PD Manager, this position will be responsible for the compliance standards and development of products in dried goods sector and ready to eat from ideation to commercialization.
Primary Responsibilities:
Develop and manage all technical guidance for new and existing products
Thorough understanding of Canadian and USA Food Regulations
Work cross functionally with operations, supply chain and sales to lead new launches and product changes and packaging transitions
Provide technical expertise to the organization
Ensure alignment with customer on product development- private label/co-manufacturing
Lead product development from ideation to commercialization:
-create bench prototype, customer samples
Maintain and document all records during development and through commercialization
Conduct shelf-life testing through the product life cycle
Monitor product post launch
Work with suppliers to source ingredients for development and supply chain, as well as ensure proper documentation is being collected
Lead sku renovations
Lead and execute all plant trials and scale up
Be present for all plant trials and 1st Production
Flexible scheduling to accommodate plant trial and 1 production
Monitor and interpret upcoming changes to regulations and ensure all products meet standards
Stay updated with market trends
Other duties as assigned
Qualification:
2+ years' proven working experience in the Food Industry in similar role
Manufacturing experience is required.
Minimum Bachelor's degree in Science or a related field.
Proficiency in MS Suite and Genesis
Ability to work in fast-paced, multi-tasking environment.
Strong communication skills
Ability to work collaboratively as a team and independently
Excellent organizational, interpersonal skills
Strong project management skills
Attention to detail, fast learner, and creative thinker.
