The Technical Asset Manager reports directly to the Technical Director.

Key Performance Indicators / Duties & Responsibilities
  • Serve as the contact for maintenance projects in Avmax MRO Facilities as well as third party MROs within Canada and overseas.
  • Oversee and approve work scopes for overhaul or exchange of components.
  • Working with the audit group to develop work scopes for the return to service and lease delivery requirements as per customer requests.
  • Provide technical support for the management of leased aircraft.
  • Provide technical expertise for contractual decisions relating to leased aircraft for, lease returns, lease deliveries, aircraft repossession and aircraft purchases.
  • Provide input on estimating returns and lease delivery costs.
  • Liaise with customers on technical/contractual aspects of leased aircraft.
  • Provide advisory services on all technical matters supporting aircraft leasing, purchases, and sales transactions.
  • Assist in conducting technical audits.
  • Assist the marketing and operations department during aircraft transitions.
  • Complete on-lease audits for the Avmax fleet of aircraft, inclusive of international customers.
Qualifications
  • Licensed AME M2 or AME-E, experienced on Dash 8 all series, CRJ all series, and 737 classic and NG preferred.
  • Good understanding of aircraft acquisition and import/export procedures.
  • Good understanding of major repairs and alterations.
  • Good understanding of regulatory requirements for aircraft records. Transport Canada, FAA and EASA.
  • Possess the aptitude to quickly understand our client's business and operational activities and capabilities.
  • Possess excellent communication skills in English and be able to adapt to rapid changes in a positive manner and work to tight deadlines.
  • Be resourceful with a flexible outlook, can multi-task to handle competing properties and be able to fit in to an international dynamic and multi-cultural environment.
  • Exceptional attention to details.
  • Solid organization skills, with ability to effectively prioritize work and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to travel.
Experience
  • At least 7+ years' work experience in a senior or lead maintenance role.
  • Previous experience in a similar aviation management role and/ or management role in an international environment.
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft office programs and maintenance tracking software (CAMP, Traxxall, Winair).
