About the Role:

Head of Sales
As a Team Lead / Mortgage Agent, you'll play a dual role- leading, mentoring, and inspiring a team of mortgage agents while also managing your own client portfolio and deals.
You'll act as a coach, problem-solver, and motivator, ensuring your team achieves their targets while driving your own business growth. This role requires strong leadership skills, a passion for helping others succeed, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, results-driven environment.
Responsibilities:
Proactively seek sales opportunities to meet and exceed targets.
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, lenders, and referral partners and guide customers throughout mortgage application and processing activities.
Manage, mentor and train a team of Mortgage Agents, providing daily guidance, support, and motivation.
Foster collaboration and build a strong team culture centered around growth and accountability.
Provide coaching on sales techniques, compliance standards, and client experience best practices.
Be accessible to your team - address their questions, concerns, and challenges proactively.
Partner with the Head of Sales to identify training gaps and execute development plans.
Represent VentaCo's values and ensure all agents adhere to company policies and ethical standards.
Requirements:
3+ years of experience in the mortgage or financial services industry, with proven leadership or team management experience.
Valid Mortgage Agent License (or Broker License).
Strong understanding of mortgage products, underwriting guidelines, and lender relations.
Excellent leadership, coaching, and interpersonal skills.
Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational abilities.
Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and capable of thriving in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment.
Compensation:
Commission-based role with additional bonuses for both your own deals and your team's performance.
