Job Title: Team Leader - Community Disability support



Independent Counselling Enterprises (I.C.E.)

is a province-wide agency that has been in operation since 1986. We offer supports to individuals with developmental disabilities. We are community based and strive to empower and foster independence in our clients.

Terms of Employment: Monday to Friday Days 3pm to 11 pm

and occasional on call

Commitment: One Year Required

Responsibilities:



Support Individual Goals and Personal Development:

Create and follow individualized support plans tailored to each person's goals and needs Assist individuals in achieving personal goals and developing life skills (e.g., cooking, cleaning, budgeting) Encourage and support the celebration of their culture, traditions, and beliefs

Personal Care Assistance:

Support individuals with personal hygiene tasks such as bathing, grooming, dressing, and medication routines

Maintain a Safe and Comfortable Home Environment:

Assist with household tasks including cleaning, laundry, grocery shopping, yard work, and snow removal

Health and Wellness Advocacy:

Accompany and advocate for individuals during appointments with healthcare professionals, therapists, and counselors

Community Inclusion and Social Engagement:

Facilitate community participation through outings, social activities, and events Arrange or provide transportation as needed

Safety and Crisis Support:

Promote safety in all environments Respond to emergencies and support crisis prevention in a calm and effective manner

Behavioral Support:

Assist individuals in managing behaviors respectfully and supportively

Communication and Documentation:

Maintain accurate written records and share relevant information with team members and families

Team Collaboration and Professional Development:

Attend staff meetings, trainings, and ongoing development opportunities as required

What You Need for This Job:



You must have a clear

Vulnerable Sector Police Check*(completed within the last 6 months) before you start
You must be able to obtain

Basic First Aid with CPR Level A(within 3 months of employment) If you are

not a Canadian citizen, you must have a

valid work or study permit*
You must be willing to

attend 2 days of Pre-Employment Training*
You need to give us

two work-related references*
You must be able to work well independently as well as with a team

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $17.38 per hour

Expected hours: 30 - 40 per week
