Overview:

To support store leadership in driving sales, leading and developing team members, ensuring exceptional customer service, and maintaining operational and visual standards while fostering a productive retail environment.

Reports to:

Grocery Manager

Responsibilities:

o Supervise store staff with an upbeat & positive attitude - Keep everyone on task

o Report any employee issues to the Store Manager

o Assist in the receiving / unpacking of orders

o Assist Store Manager in the stocking of the store

o Ensuring all grocery storage areas are kept organized and clean

Inventory expiring product & discount to move

Removal & documentation of expired product

o Serve & Assist Customers promptly and efficiently

o General tasks - food packaging, cryovacing, labelling and cleaning

o Handle customer complaints and concerns

o Oversee breaks for grocery staff

o Be familiar with other store products including meat and produce

o Assist in the training of new staff

o Inputting of price adjustments in the system and on the floor

o Inputting new products into the system and working with the Store Manager on placement

o Work with the Store Manager on implementing and maintaining displays

o Conducting demos on products Hopcott carries

Position Requirements:

2+ years of previous retail and decor merchandising experience

Working knowledge of POS system

Food Safe Level 1

Excellent customer service, positive & friendly attitude

Highly organized and be able multi-tasking

Must be self-motivated with the ability to complete tasks in a timely manner

Be proactive in adverse situations, ex - busy times and unhappy customers

Comfort in working in a fast-paced environment

Able to carry/lift to 40 lbs

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $19.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15 - 30 per week

Work Location: In person
