Job Overview



The Team Lead oversees branch operations and staff, including drivers and sorting team members. This role ensures smooth daily operations, resolves employee and customer concerns, and maintains strong communication with both internal teams and clients. The Team Lead fosters a positive work environment, motivates staff, and drives performance aligned with company goals.

Responsibilities and Duties



Overseeing all work in the branch, setting clear direction and expectations, and keeping staff focused on objectives.

Oversee daily operations of all divisions of O.N.E. Transport Group.

Helping manage fleet-related issues.

Dispatch deliveries and pickups when opening the branch.

Doing deliveries and/ or pickup when there is a high volume or if the branch is short of drivers.

Maintaining a clean and organized Branch.

Taking stock of supplies and requesting them from the appropriate person.

Supervise branch staff, including drivers and sorting team members.

Set clear direction and expectations to keep staff focused on objectives.

Train new drivers and sorters about their job and how to use handheld devices.

Train, coach and take care of the development of the team.

Participate in recruitment, performance management, and employee development plans.

Follow progressive discipline and document incidents when required.

Conduct a weekly/monthly tailgate or safety meetings.

Developing and maintaining relationships with clients and customers.

Address customer concerns and ensure high service standards.

Participation in management team meetings.

Prepare and submit all the required reports.

Opening or closing the depot.

Oversee and help with warehouse operations.

Ensure adherence to safety protocols and PPE requirements.

Willing to go on the road when required.

Occasional travel may be required based on operational needs.

Assist with any other tasks as required.

Job Requirements

Ability to drive 16' Cargo vans up to a 5-ton truck an asset.

Ability to drive a Forklift.

Able to lift/carry/push up to 75 Lbs and up to 150 Lbs with assistance.

Should be comfortable with a flexible schedule.

Must adhere to all safety protocols, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Safety vests are provided by the organization; however, employees are required to supply their own steel-toe footwear.

Qualifications and Skills



Strong interpersonal skills - Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Confidence and skillful negotiating skills. Demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement. Demonstrated leadership skills. Computer literate. Strong organizational skills to give the team direction. Able to work effectively independently under minimal supervision and as a team member. Strong customer service focus supported by solid time management and prioritization skills. Ability to adapt to ongoing changes. Attention to details. Knowledge of how to use and troubleshoot handheld devices.

Certifications/Requirements



High school diploma/GED required. A minimum of 2 years of experience in the relevant field will be an asset. Valid Drivers License. Driver's Abstract.
