The
Han Language Cultural Experiential Cultural Programming Coordinator
will design and deliver hands-on, culturally based learning experiences in the Han Room. This role involves coordinating crafts, field trips, community visits, and Elder engagement to bring cultural knowledge and experiential education to life for students.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
Please clearly demonstrate on your cover letter and resume, how you meet the following qualifications and experience:
Bachelor of Education or equivalent
Recent teaching experience and/or Teacher Candidate Practicum experience
Experience organizing, planning and coordinating cultural programming such as crafting sessions, cultural demonstrations, and field trips
Demonstrated language proficiency (read, write and speak) and on-going commitment to improve language proficiency of the Han language to deliver the Han language and culture program at the K-9 level
Considerable knowledge and awareness of Yukon First Nations/ Tr ? ond e k Hw e ch ? in culture, traditional practices, values and beliefs as well as a good understanding of the past and current issues in education, heritage and languages with a view to past, the present and the future
DESIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND SUITABILITY:
Candidates should have and may be assessed on their:
Strong organizational and logistical skills
Ability to connect and collaborate with school based staff, knowledge holders, Elders, parents and/or caregivers
Willingness to actively promote Yukon First Nations language and culture within the school programming and environment
