General Description?
The Part Time Cultural Programming Coordinator (CPC-PT) works out of Inii Healing House (IHH). IHH is a 60-day on-reserve treatment center that provides a structured, intensive healing experience for individuals struggling with substance abuse, mental health issues, and/or trauma. IHH allows up to 10 residents to receive support within the community, often integrating culturally relevant and land- based healing practices. The CPC-PT plays a key role in integrating traditional Blackfoot knowledge, practices and cultural teachings into the healing and recovery journey of residents at IHH. The CPC-PT is responsible for developing, coordinating, and facilitating culturally relevant programs that support spiritual, emotional, mental, and physical well-being, in collaboration with Elders, Knowledge Keepers, and clinical staff. This position works closely with clinical and support staff to ensure that all programming aligns with the treatment model and supports residents' recovery and healing journey.?
Role responsibilities and duties??
Design and implement culturally grounded programming, such as sweat lodges, drumming circles, traditional teachings, seasonal ceremonies, and land-based healing activities.
Coordinate with Elders, Knowledge Keepers, and Healers to deliver teachings and ceremonies in a respectful and meaningful way.
Develop programming calendars aligned with traditional Indigenous cycles and seasonal events.
Work directly with residents to support cultural identity, reconnection with traditions, and their cultural beliefs.
Foster a safe and inclusive environment where clients feel supported and respected in their cultural beliefs.
Collaborate with clinical and case management staff to ensure cultural programming complements therapeutic goals.
Provide insight on cultural protocols and Indigenous worldviews to inform treatment approaches.
Coordinate logistics for cultural events and workshops, including transportation, supplies, and honoraria for Elders.
Track participant and outcomes to support program evaluation and reporting.
Ensure cultural resources and spaces (e.g. medicines, bundles, smudge box) are maintained and respected.
Coordinate with clinicians, therapists, cultural representatives and external service providers to ensure quality and consistency in cultural programming.
Coordinate with local agencies, cultural groups, or healthcare providers to offer specialized sessions (e.g. cultural healing, relapse prevention, financial literacy).
Assist in developing policies and procedures related to program delivery.
Assess the needs and progress of individuals within the group
Facilitate open and supportive discussions about addiction and recovery
Create a safe, inclusive, and non-judgmental environment for group members
Identify potential triggers and develop strategies to manage them
Support with case management
Provide transportation as needed
Assist participants with organizing personal affairs as requested
Attend/facilitated case consultation as needed
Assist participants in Traditional healing as requested
Continue professional development through ongoing education and training in addiction therapy
Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical and professional standards.

Qualifications?
Successful completion of a degree or diploma in a human services discipline
Strong knowledge of Indigenous cultures, languages, and traditional healing practices.
Lived experience and/or formal training in cultural facilitation or Indigenous Health and Wellness.
Deep understanding of intergenerational trauma, colonization, and the healing journey of Indigenous peoples.
Ability to build respectful relationships with Elders, residents, and community partners.
First Aid, CPR, Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST), Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (NVDI), Trauma-Informed Care, Security, and WHMIS training are assets
Proficient in MS Office 365
