NVA Canada is looking for a Canadian Tax Analyst to join our growing Finance team and business. Reporting to the Manager, Tax Canada, this new senior position is ideal if you have a tax/finance background and are looking for a chance to greatly contribute to the company\'s success. With NVA Canada\'s rapid growth this role will develop the support structure for corporate and indirect tax compliance and reporting, along with wider analysis support for the broader Canada Finance team.

Key Job Responsibilities:

The position\'s primary functions include:

  • Assist with Corporate and indirect tax filing for 141 Canadian hospital locations as well as roll up entities.
  • Assist in preparing schedules and reconciliations to support quarterly tax provisions.
  • Assist in T2 tax return preparation, income tax instalments and reconciliation.
  • Prepare month end journal entries.
  • Respond to hospital support ticket enquiries.
  • Prepare month-end reports.
Qualifications:

The successful candidate will be able to quickly learn on the job and implement new processes and make adjustments to the current procedures as necessary to keep up with NVA\'s growth.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor\'s degree in accounting/Tax or related field
  • Knowledge of Corporate and HST/GST/PST tax compliance
  • Experience with Tax prep is an asset.
  • 2+ years of tax and accounting experience
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Self-directed, detail oriented, problem solver.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with internal and external personnel: tax agencies and field offices.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
