Job Overview


We are seeking a skilled and experienced Tandoor Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Indian cuisine, particularly in preparing dishes using traditional tandoor methods. This role involves overseeing the preparation and presentation of authentic tandoori dishes, making Naan/Roti, managing kitchen operations, and ensuring the highest standards of food quality and safety. The Tandoor Chef will play a vital role in delivering an exceptional dining experience for our guests, whether in a fine dining setting, catering service.

Responsibilities



Prepare and cook a variety of tandoori dishes with authentic flavors and presentation standards, making Naan/Roti. Oversee food preparation processes, ensuring consistency and quality across all menu items. Manage inventory control for spices, ingredients, and kitchen supplies related to tandoor cooking. Supervise kitchen staff, including training new team members and managing shift operations. Maintain strict adherence to food safety and sanitation standards in compliance with health regulations. Collaborate with menu planners to develop new dishes and improve existing recipes. Coordinate with catering and banquet departments to deliver high-quality food for events. Monitor kitchen workflow to ensure timely service during peak hours. Lead kitchen management efforts including shift management, inventory management, and cost control measures.

Skills



Extensive culinary experience with a focus on Indian cuisine and tandoor cooking techniques. Proven supervisory experience in a restaurant, banquet, or catering environment. Experience in food production, food service management, and kitchen operations. Knowledge of inventory management, inventory control, and food handling procedures. Excellent skills in menu planning, food preparation, and food safety standards. Background in fine dining, catering, or restaurant management preferred. Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high-quality standards. Pay: $15.00-$25.00 per hour
