Overview

Are you a human resources specialist with expertise in talent systems? Our Talent and Organizational Effectiveness team has a rare opportunity for a Talent Systems Specialist to join the team.

You\xe2\x80\x99ll be responsible for providing advice and guidance on talent systems related to recruitment, organizational effectiveness, and talent management. In this role, you will help lead the implementation of innovative technologies and tools that help support talent initiatives across our teams. Your expertise will help to ensure our talent systems are being optimized, business processes followed, and reports and data continuity are upheld. This strategic role provides a critical lens on industry trends, best practices, and leading solutions in the market.

At WorkSafeBC, we offer a hybrid work model that combines the convenience of working remotely with the dynamism of working in one of our offices, based on the operational needs of the position.

In this role, you\xe2\x80\x99ll work primarily from your B.C. home and occasionally in our Richmond office.

What you\'ll do

  • Collaborate in close partnership with teams across the People and Culture division, to train staff and ensure talent systems are utilized for business process efficiencies
  • Document policies, procedures, and processes relating to Talent Technology platform operations, including leading the development and implementation of training for talent systems
  • Lead by example to provide ongoing support and feedback to ensure the appropriate usage and continuous improvement of talent systems are upheld
  • Assist with system updates and testing, guide the RFI/RFP processes, and support the selection, implementation, and management of vendors that enhance talent systems and tools at WorkSafeBC
  • Leverage organizational development and change management practices to optimize system adoption and best practices while working with internal and external stakeholders

  • Develop and maintain positive, client-focused relationships with internal clients and external vendors to facilitate the implementation and ongoing success of projects and initiatives
  • Problem-solve and think analytically as well as creatively in a challenging and dynamic environment
  • Design and deliver training to audiences with varying levels of knowledge and understanding
  • Utilize an innovative, forward-thinking mindset and an agile approach to problem solving and systems-thinking
Your background and experience
  • A bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in human resources or a related discipline
  • A minimum of three years of experience implementing and supporting talent systems, including analysis, solutions delivery, project work and maintenance of HR systems (on premise and cloud-based)
  • Working knowledge of
  • Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and end-to-end recruitment cycle
  • Oracle Cloud Talent Solutions
  • Talent management processes and industry trends
  • CPHR designation (or working towards completion) is an asset
  • Change Management Certification (i.e., Prosci) is considered an asset
