This is a Contract position with the possibility of permanent employment.
Position Summary:
The Talent Acquisition and Development Specialist will be responsible for attracting, sourcing, and hiring top talent to meet the staffing needs of the company.
They will contribute to building and focus on the execution of the recruitment strategy, building a talent pipeline, and ensuring a positive candidate experience.
They will drive a learning culture through the development and deployment of programs that align with the organizational goals and enhance the personal growth of its workforce.
Primary Responsibilities:
Sourcing and Recruitment
Utilize various sourcing methods, including job boards, social media, networking, and employee referrals, to identify and attract qualified candidates.
Identify and implement sourcing strategies for both local and international talent.
Conduct initial screenings and assessments to evaluate candidate qualifications, skills, and cultural fit.
Conduct interviews and assessments to evaluate candidate qualifications, skills, and cultural fit.
Candidate Relationship Management:
Build and maintain relationships with candidates, providing timely and transparent communication throughout the recruitment process.
Ensure a positive candidate experience by managing expectations and providing feedback.
Collaboration with Hiring Managers:
Work closely with hiring managers to understand their staffing needs and requirements by scheduling intake calls and reviewing screening questions.
Provide guidance on best practices in recruitment, provide insights on compensation and share current market trends
Job Offer and Negotiation:
Facilitate the job offer process, including presenting offers, negotiating terms and coordinating with the hiring manager throughout the acceptance process.
Schedule the orientation of new employees and coordinate onboarding with HR and hiring managers to ensure a smooth onboarding process.
Employer Branding:
Contribute to the development and promotion of the company brand to attract top talent.
Represent the organization at job fairs, networking events, and industry conferences.
Data Analysis and Reporting:
Maintain accurate and up-to-date candidate records in the applicant tracking system (ATS).
Generate reports and analyze recruitment metrics to assess the effectiveness of sourcing selection strategies.
Talent Development:
Collaborate with site and HR leaders to identify challenges and learning development needs and participate in solutions that will aid in the development of skills and abilities.
Be an advocate for the apprenticeship program by registering, tracking, and participating in the development and promotion of apprentices throughout the organization.
Support the creation of developmental programs that aid in the development of key talent and critical positions
In collaboration with operations, work to develop and launch testing programs that will effectively assess the skills of people to support new hire placement and internal career development plans
Employee Experience:
As the first point of contact for new employees, create a positive experience for the candidates
Contribute to the fostering of a positive work environment, increasing engagement, and retaining top talent.
Educational Requirements:
Bachelor's degree or College Diploma in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field, and/or experience
CHRP or CHRL designation preferred.
Required Skills & Expertise:
Proven experience 2-3 years in talent acquisition and development,
Experience in a manufacturing environment
Familiarity with recruitment tools and applicant tracking systems.
Excellent communication, interpersonal negotiating skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
Strong relationship building, organizational, and time management skills.
Knowledge of HR Laws and regulations.

Microsoft Office, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Teams, Outlook; Applicant Tracking System; UKG workforce management solutions; project management tools/programs
