COORDINATOR, TALENT ACQUISITION PERMANENT FULL-TIME
70 Bi-Weekly Hours| Non-Union |Day Shifts
The Talent Acquisition Coordinator works on the talent servicing team, partnering with the Talent Acquisition Specialist to attract and recruit talent to support Baycrest Hospital and Long Term Care Home current and future needs. The Talent Acquisition Coordinator will coordinate and execute all administrative aspects of the recruitment process including: preparing position requirements, screening applicants, scheduling and coordinating interviews, preparing offer letters and working closely with the HR team to ensure a successful and engaging onboarding process for new hires.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Solid understanding of the staffing requisition approval process and recruitment workflow in order to support Hiring Managers and the overall recruitment process.
  • Prepare job postings in accordance with job descriptions and other selection criteria.
  • Prepare post and track external advertisements on recruitment websites, in print media and other recruitment sources.
  • Pre-screen resumes to ensure applicants meet minimum job requirements.
  • Prepare candidate and employment correspondence, including offers of employment and transfer letters as standard processes.
  • Prepare recruitment reports.
  • Develop, organize and track recruitment competition files for all vacancies.
  • Conduct employment references and verifications of professional licenses and other credentials.
  • Work with talent team to prioritize staffing requisitions for hiring needs.
  • Review, update and liaise with Hiring Managers regarding status of their specific competitions.
  • Liaise with union representatives regarding vacancies, postings and successful candidates.
  • Prepare interview packages, including behavioral based interviewing guides and act as resource on the use of behavioural interviewing techniques for Hiring Mangers and/or panel interview members.
  • Work with Hiring Managers to coordinate and schedule interviews.
  • Represent the organization at job fairs and maintain annual operation calendar for candidate pipeline opportunities.
  • Support the management of human resources documentation by filing, and participating in file creation and document audits.
  • Special project work related to recruitment.

Qualifications include but are not limited to:
  • Degree or diploma in Human Resources or equivalent combination of education and work experience in progressive human resources environment
  • Working toward the Canadian Human Resources Professional (CHRP) designation would be an asset.
  • Two (2) years of previous experience supporting the recruitment function preferably in a healthcare setting.
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational and time management skills and the ability to work with little or no supervision.
  • Exceptional prioritization, negotiation, communication and influencing skills.
  • Advanced computer skills and the ability to work with Microsoft Office Software including Word, Excel, and Outlook, as well as HRIS database systems.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of behaviour-based interview techniques.
  • Knowledge of Crystal Reports software would be an asset.
  • Demonstrated excellent customer service skills and the ability to quickly earn the trust of internal clients.
  • Strong team player and demonstrated ability to work collaboratively to achieve common goals.
  • Ability to manage multiple conflicting priorities and to execute with excellence in a fast-paced environment.
  • Working knowledge of the Employment Standards and Human Rights Acts, current legislation, and human resources practices, procedures and policies.
  • Tactfulness and the ability to maintain confidentiality.
