In this role you will play a key role in identifying, attracting, and hiring top talent for our organization. Your responsibilities will include developing and implementing effective recruitment strategies, building strong candidate pipelines, and ensuring a positive candidate experience. The Talent Acquisition Specialist has the following key responsibilities:

  • Your responsibilities will include developing and implementing effective recruitment strategies, building strong candidate pipelines, and ensuring a positive candidate experience
  • Passionate about talent acquisition, with excellent communication skills and possess a proactive approach to sourcing and engaging with candidates and office management team
  • Reporting to HR Manager to prepare and extend job offers
  • Organize and attend job fairs and recruitment events
  • Ensure fair, consistent and efficient practices, as it relates to sourcing , recruiting and hiring
  • Lead and develop recruitment strategies to attract diverse candidate pools
  • Building recruitment and selection capabilities with team members;
  • Implementing new technology and indicators to support recruitment efforts.
Skills and Experience
  • The Talent Acquisition Specialist works alongside the Team in developing pools of qualified health care professionals
  • Work collaboratively to meet Home Care Assistance Barrie goals and objectives. This includes collaboration of ideas, with a positive attitude
  • Achieves staffing objectives by recruiting and evaluating job candidates
  • Champion a positive candidate experience for all candidates
  • Develop and maintain partnerships with employment-focused community organizations to attract diverse talent
  • Participate in various talent acquisition and health care events
  • Monitor global talent subsidy/grant opportunities; facilitate applications with relevant authorities; track and report on successful applications
  • Champion Employee Referral Program including tracking and reporting
  • Ensure accurate and up to date talent tracking information in candidate tracking system
  • Maintain detailed and accurate interview notes in the candidate tracking system
  • Understanding of scheduling health care workers
  • Efficiently and effectively fill open positions
  • Along with the HR Manager & team, design and implement overall recruitment strategy
  • Complete the full on-boarding process for all new employees.
  • Provide analytical and detailed recruiting documents to the team
  • Act as a point of contact and build influential candidate relationships during the selection process
  • Maintain up to date personnel employees\xe2\x80\x99 documentation
Qualifications
  • Diploma or Certification Human Resources is an asset
  • Member of HRPA ( Human Resources Professional Association) is an asset
  • 1-3 years of experience in business growth, or services related to Talent Acquisition,
  • Previous experience working in healthcare
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to balance big-picture planning with hands-on execution
  • Experience driving ambitious growth metrics in an operational environment
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across various internal teams
  • Ability to travel within the Simcoe County if required
Professional Practice
  • Act with integrity and balance the interest of all parties in carrying out HR ethical practices for all candidates and staff
  • Adhere to HR legal requirements

Salary: $50,000.00-$52,000.00 per year
