The position at a glance

As part of the Human Resources team, the Talent Acquisition Coordinator is responsible for the full cycle of the onboarding process while providing exceptional service to internal and external clients, and is an active member of a dedicated Human Resources team that brings life to the Human Resources Strategic Plan.

In detail

  • Work closely with the talent acquisition partners.
  • Manage posting process.
  • Manage onboarding process.
  • Initiate new hire paperwork and background checks for all new hires and track progress.
  • Manage on-boarding for all new hires, ensuring notification to hiring managers and talent acquisition partners.
  • Prepare offer letters for candidates.
  • Main point of contact for candidates from offer letter stage through to new hire orientation.
  • Facilitate resolution of onboarding issues for candidates, hiring managers, and recruiters.
  • Coordinate data entry of new hires into different HR software and track progress.
  • Organize new hire folders and ensure completion prior to start date.
  • Control of data entry in HR systems and employee files.
  • Special projects, as needed.
  • Explain onboarding process to successful candidates.
  • Explain onboarding process to new hiring managers.
  • Update the master recruitment spreadsheet to support the accuracy of our data.
  • Ensure follow-up with vendors (for translation requests and background checks)
Qualifications

The strengths and skills that will help you succeed
  • 1 to 3 years of previous work experience, preferably within Human Resources and/or Recruiting
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (French/English - spoken and written)
  • Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Professionalism in dealing with highly confidential information
  • Excellent attention to detail and proven ability to multi-task
  • Proven ability to work in a fast-paced dynamic environment
  • Strong Excel and Word skills
  • Knowledge of PeopleSoft, a definite asset
  • Knowledge of Outlook
