Our Human Resources Team is growing! The Otipemisiwak Metis Government is looking for a Talent Acquisition Coordinator to join our HR team. Reporting to the Human Resources Manager, the successful candidate will primarily be responsible for full-cycle recruitment, assisting with onboarding, and maintaining and completing accurate, up-to-date personnel records. The Talent Acquisition Coordinator will be detail oriented, have exceptional interpersonal skills, and have a passion for recruitment.

Key Responsibilities




Facilitate full-cycle recruitment activities for a variety of departments or sectors, including: + Creating job postings, interview guides, and job descriptions + Posting job advertisements
+ Conducting interviews and reference checks
Collaborate with various Hiring Managers within Otipemisiwak Metis Government departments throughout each stage of the recruitment process to fulfill recruitment needs. Respond to applicant, candidate, and Hiring Manager inquiries. Assist with onboarding, including facilitating orientation and ensuring the completion of new hire documents. Complete new hire checklists to ensure all onboarding items are completed, in collaboration with Finance and other Human Resources team members. Assist in the development and delivery of talent acquisition strategies and initiatives, in collaboration with the Senior Talent Acquisition Coordinator and Human Resources leadership. Create and complete recruitment files through the recruitment process. Create and maintain accurate, up-to-date, and complete personnel records. Draft memoranda, correspondence, and other employment documentation. Maintain Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) in compliance with applicable legislation and Otipemisiwak Metis Government policies and procedures. Stay abreast on compliance requirements and industry best practices as it relates to the recruitment process. Present a positive and professional image of the organization when interacting with employees, clients/customers, visitors, and other external stakeholders. Support the planning, organizing, and implementation of projects and events, as required. Attend Human Resources networking and recruitment events, including job fairs, post-secondary initiatives, and partner events. Participate in professional development activities to improve knowledge and skills. Participate in and support the overall strategic direction of the Human Resources department and the Otipemisiwak Metis Government. Other duties as required or assigned.

Ability to produce professional documents, reports, and presentations. Exceptional organization and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines. Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities and recruitment files. Strong sense of ethics and the ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality in all interactions and in the handling of sensitive information. Political and cultural sensitivity. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Flexible and adaptable to work in a diverse and fast paced environment. Strong attention to detail. Knowledge of applicable employment legislation and the ability to read and interpret legislation. Knowledge of Metis history, culture, and issues affecting Metis people. An in-depth understanding of the Otipemisiwak Metis Government and Metis culture is an asset.



Qualifications




Minimum of a diploma or degree in Human Resources, Business Administration with an HR major, or related HR education is required. A minimum of two years talent acquisition experience. Related customer service and administration experience is an asset.



Other Requirements




Ability to work in-office in Edmonton, AB. Ability to work a regular schedule of Monday to Friday 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM, as well as occasional evenings and weekends. Ability to travel throughout Alberta, on occasion. Reliable transportation and valid Class 5 driver's license.
