SYSTEMS SPECIALIST
LOCATION: SAINT JOHN, MONCTON, FREDERICTON, NB


The Systems Specialist is a collaborative member of the Cloud and Data Center team. This position will collaborate with the Infrastructure Design team to deliver products and solutions. They will also support and maintain lifecycle on services and solutions that are in place, as well as to satisfy business and operational requirements through the efficient use of internally established and industry best practices. As a passionate technologist, this position will focus on customer delivery through best practices.


Your Focus:

• Be a technology advocate in Storage as it contributes to new initiatives and customer projects.
• Be a risk mitigation advocate with a focus on managing vulnerabilities and closings risks.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, technology, and support.
• Identify and execute on automation opportunities.
• Be a coach and mentor in a collaborative environment.
• Be efficient and effective in management of storage solutions.
• Respect and identify new leading practices for implementing, configuring, maintaining, operating, and securing infrastructure.
• Conduct research based on requirements and develop recommendations on Storage products, services, protocols, and standards.
• Monitor and analyze capacity and performance on the environment and recommend enhancements to meet new or changing infrastructure demands.
• Participate in an on-call rotation to serve and support our customers.

You Have:

• A university Degree, College Diploma.
• 3-8 Years of Experience in IT Environments (Systems).
• Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert, Microsoft Certified Azure Expert Certifications required (any).
• Knowledge in Enterprise Storage (SAN, FCIP), Enterprise Backup Solutions (Data Domain, Networker, Avamar), Brocade, Dell Powerstore, Dell Powerscale, IBM V7000.
• Sound Understanding of Industry Leading Practices.

All successful applicants must meet requirements for Canadian Controlled Goods Program (CGP), Canadian Government Security clearance, and U.S. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
