You\'re invited to make a difference\xe2\x80\xa6 as a full-time Systems Administrator in our Head Office in Kitchener. At Kindred Credit Union, you will be part of cooperative banking that connects values and faith with finances, inspiring peaceful, just, and prosperous communities. Reporting to the Manager, Systems Support and Administration, this role contributes in a collaborative team environment to provide technical services in the areas of IT Infrastructure, IT security and disaster recovery planning. The role represents 70% systems administrator responsibilities and 30% end-user escalations. This ensures that all staff members can continue to work effectively and efficiently, while safeguarding Kindred systems and member information. Key Responsibilities
  • Manage virtual desktops
  • Ensure that monthly images and other updates and patches operate smoothly
  • Assist with IT security measures, monitoring, and remediation
  • Disaster recovery planning including maintaining backup-systems, check completeness of backups and verifying backup logs and systems, performing test restoration of back-ups and replications in accordance with business continuity plans and recommending infrastructure changes, including continuity planning, redundancy and resilience considerations.

  • College or university program in a related field
  • 2-3 years of experience working in IT support
  • Strong knowledge of Kindred systems and infrastructure
  • Current knowledge of networking hardware and traffic management an asset
  • Current knowledge of MS server and client installation and maintenance an asset
