How your role will add to the story:

Lead cross-functional and complex projects that support the Parts Logistics team, responsibilities include analysis, business requirements documentation, project status reporting, testing and implementation. Business Unit owner of Parts Ordering Systems. Determine strategic direction of Parts Ordering System, ensure that system changes meet the needs of the dealer body and home office users and work with IT to ensure priority and system stability

A day in the life

  • Lead cross-functional projects within Parts Logistics North America and represent Parts Logistics on companywide initiatives and assignments.
  • Responsible for ensuring projects are completed on time and within allocated budgets. . Report on project status to management and other stakeholders
  • Lead system requirements and enhancements amongst various user groups including dealer body, DAC, PDC and ensure that changes fit into the overall strategy for the Parts Ordering System.
  • Prioritize system changes based on requirements from home office users and dealer body.
  • Present priorities and project status to Parts Logistics North America leadership and IT leadership.
  • Communicate system problems to management as needed and work with IT and end users to identify and correct any system issues.
  • Act as a departmental subject matter expert on Parts Ordering Systems and ensure that processes are accurately documented and standardized.

Qualifications

Mercedes-Benz Star skills, requirements & traits:
  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent Work Experience
  • 3+ years of experience in the automotive industry leading projects
  • Knowledge of Automotive Supply Chain and general knowledge of OE After Sales.
  • Extensive knowledge of SAP systems
  • Knowledge of business and project management principles involved in strategic planning and process optimization.
  • Expert skills using SAP, Advanced Excel, PowerPoint and Word
  • The ability to effectively respond to and meet the needs of MBC day to day activities
  • Ability to build strong working relationships with MBUSA, PDC, MBC Head Office Teams and Dealers.
