Job Title:

Wintel + Azure + Server Administrator

Location:

St. John's, New Brunswick, Canada

Key responsibilities

:

Candidate to have 7 to 10 years of experience in Windows and Azure cloud areas as primary skills and in VMware and Hyper-V as secondary skills.

Prepare High Level & Low-Level designs as per proposed solution.

Installing, configuring and maintaining Windows based servers.

Creating, managing, and deleting user accounts, and assigning appropriate permissions to ensure secure access to resources.

Installing and managing software updates, security patches, and hotfixes to keep systems up-to-date and secure.

Implementing and managing backup and disaster recovery solutions to protect data and ensure business continuity in case of system failures.

Identifying, diagnosing, and resolving hardware and software issues related to Windows servers and related systems.

Creating and maintaining documentation for server configurations, troubleshooting steps, and standard operating procedures.

Working with other IT professionals, such as network administrators, database administrators, and application developers, to ensure smooth operation of the IT infrastructure.

Deep understanding of Windows Server operating systems, Active Directory, DNS, networking, and server hardware.

Ability to communicate technical information clearly and effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Ability to work effectively as part of a team and collaborate with other IT professionals.

Understanding of security best practices and the ability to implement security measures.

Basic scripting skills (e.g., PowerShell) can be helpful for automation and system administration tasks.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $60.00-$75.00 per hour
