WiseTech Corp. , Calgary based growing MSP offering a full line up of solutions ranging from Hardware and Software support, Cloud IT Services to VoIP communications. We are seeking an experienced System Administrator What Are the Responsibilities?
  • Perform remote and onsite troubleshooting of hardware, software, and networking issues for various clients
  • Windows servers deployments, upgrades, and migrations
  • Provide day-to-day L3 support and Assist level 1/2 technicians with any tech support issues requiring assistance
  • Deployments and implementations of VoIP systems
  • Monitor corporate central ticketing system to ensure timely resolution of tech support issues within client defined SLA.
  • Provide system documentation as well as applying the latest industry \xe2\x80\x9cBest Practices\xe2\x80\x9d
  • Create new and follow existing check lists to ensure a consistent result for routine and common tasks within our proactive IT management services
  • Providing Network Operations Centre (NOC) Support.
  • Be the technical lead on Project work, with the ability to project manage and coordinate efforts with rest of the team and our clients
  • Other duties as assigned as assigned by upper management.
  • Typical business Hours are from 8AM \xe2\x80\x93 6PM, Mon \xe2\x80\x93 Fri, with afterhours work and on-call required
What Are the Technical Requirements?
  • Minimum 3 years of IT Support L3 experience
  • MSP or IT Industry L1 / L2 support 5 years
  • Networking experience including enterprise-grade firewalls, Layer2 and 3 switching, VLANs and VPN appliances
  • Experience with Microsoft Exchange, Office 365, Gmail including implementation and migration to cloud.
  • Experience with Email security such as DKIM, DMARC, SPF, Email Gateway Security and SharePoint Online administration.
  • Extensive experience with Microsoft server environments, including Active Directory, DNS/DHCP, PowerShell and GPO.
  • Extensive Experience with virtualization platforms including VMware, Hyper-V and PROXMOX
  • Experience with VoIP including FreePBX, Asterisk, Cisco UC, etc.
  • Experience with Remote Control Software such as RDC or ScreenConnect
  • Experience with cloud platforms including as Azure and Amazon Web Services (AWS)
  • Experience with Enterprise class Remote Monitoring and Management (RMM & PSA) tools
  • Experience with back-up software including Acronis, Datto, WSB, etc.
  • Post-secondary education in Computer Science / Information Technology or 2-year diploma within IT field
What Would Be Some Bonus Items?
  • Certifications in Cisco, Microsoft and CompTIA would be an asset
  • Experience with installing, configuring, administering, and troubleshooting Linux
  • Prior experience with a Managed Services Provider (MSP)
