Job Posting: Swim Coach - Tempest Aquatics Club

Location:

Vancouver, BC (various pools)

Position Type:

Contract position with casual (on-call) hours, with the potential to transition into a regular weekly coaching role based on club needs and coach performance. We are also welcoming volunteer coaches who may transition into paid positions based on performance and club needs.

Participant Age Group:

7-15 years

Compensation:

$20-$50/hour depending on experience, certification level, and role.

Positions available

: Volunteer Coach, Junior Coach, Senior Coach, or Head Coach.

About Us

Tempest Aquatics is a vibrant, non-competitive swim club focused on creating a fun, positive, and engaging environment for youth. We're seeking enthusiastic coaches to help young swimmers build skills, stay active, and develop a love for the sport.

Responsibilities:

Coach practices focused on stroke technique, endurance, and fitness

Foster a safe, supportive environment for swimmers

Adapt training to different ages and skill levels

Track swimmer progress and provide feedback

Collaborate with coaching staff and communicate with parents

Qualifications:

Swim Coaching Certification (e.g., NCCP) preferred

Experience coaching and swim club background

Willing to obtain a criminal background check

Skills:

Patience, strong communication, and ability to engage youth

Team player with organizational and motivational skills

Passion for swimming and youth development

Schedule Information:
