Canada Goose is seeking a Senior Vice President (SVP) of Product Development and Innovation to join our team! You will be responsible for the Product Development organization in Canada Goose using the best industry practices and building strong cross-functional partnerships. The ideal candidate will have a strong apparel manufacturing background, luxury product experience, and be a strategic problem solver. The successful candidate will drive innovation and lead an efficient product development process from conceptualization to execution.

Qualifications

What You\'ll Do:

• Lead the development of new products and new product categories, from ideation to launch, by collaborating with cross-functional teams, including design, marketing, merchandising, manufacturing, sales planning, and supply chain
• Support the development of a product roadmap and execute it in alignment with the company\'s overall strategy and vision
• Lead and manage the integrated Product Creation process and calendar to meet deliverables on time, maintaining vigilant and high-frequency communication of exceptions and solutions
• Drive innovation and product differentiation by identifying new materials, technologies, and manufacturing techniques
• Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and partners to ensure the highest quality of products and manufacturing processes
• Provide leadership and mentorship to the product development team, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement
• Monitor industry trends and consumer insights to find opportunities for new product development
• Work closely with the design team to ensure that product designs meet quality standards, brand guidelines, and cost/margin targets
• Partner with sales and marketing teams to develop go-to-market strategies that successfully communicate product features and benefits to consumers
• Create the strategic vision and direction for the Goose Innovation Team, in the areas of advanced concept and product design, materials research, sustainability, and sensory product testing
• Select correct fundamental technologies for new and/or improvement of existing product
• Oversee key projects, processes, systems and performance reports, data, and analysis
• Handle product development budgets and timelines to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget
• Ensure that all products meet regulatory compliance requirements

Let\'s Talk About You:

• Complete alignment with Canada Goose brand philosophy and aesthetic/values
• 15+ years of experience in product development, with at least 10 years in a leadership role
• Be an inspirational, innovative product leader driven to support building a brand to the next level of image, and expanding customer and category reach, brand loyalty, and integration
• Be a role model for innovative product, and ability to challenge cross-functional teams to constantly innovate product to better meet the needs of the customer capturing relevant trends that are on brand
• Understanding of domestic and international manufacturing processes, including sourcing, production, and quality control.
• Be able to have efficient and timely executions of new product
• Industry knowledge - Global understanding of positioning within the Luxury and Apparel space
• Exposure to all product lines ex. Accessories, footwear, apparel, outerwear, etc.
• Demonstrate entrepreneurial passion, and educate direct reports, as well as cross-functional partners when discussing new concepts, ideations, and fundamental processes
• Be a leader within the Product Team, and champion Diversity & Inclusion across the organization to build a safe and welcoming environment
• Respectful in approach, focused on fostering a collaborative cross-functional organization
