Queen's Cross, a chef-driven dining concept created in partnership with Oliver & Bonacini Hospitality (O&B). Queen's Cross transforms 19,000 square feet of the south side of the shopping centre into a modern-day food emporium with seating to accommodate 300 guests. Featuring a carefully curated collection of 15 unique food stalls along with a bar and cafe, the new concept offers exciting, high-quality and meaningful food experiences that reflects the diversity and vibrancy of downtown Toronto.

We are seeking a skilled Sushi Cook to prepare high-quality sushi in a fast-paced kitchen. Responsibilities include preparing ingredients, rolling sushi, ensuring food safety, and maintaining cleanliness. Must have experience with sushi preparation, knife skills, and attention to detail.

Perform delegated tasks from Sous Chef, Chef and/or General Manager Day to day food preparation of the food stall according to O&B standards Follow recipes, portion controls and presentation specification as set by the food stall Maintain a prep list of station duties Follow the FIFO method to maximize freshness Assist in food inventory and control Assist in properly receiving and storing delivered items Clean food prep areas, equipment, utensils and strictly adhere to sanitation, food safety, and hygiene guidelines Strictly adhere to WHMIS and MSDS guidelines Other duties or responsibilities as assigned or required


Qualifications



1-2 years cooking experience with Sushi in a fast-paced restaurant, quick service or event/ catering environment Culinary diploma/degree is an asset. Basic understanding of professional cooking and knife handling skills. Ability to take direction and work calmly and effectively under pressure. Able to spend 100% of the time standing
