Overview

We are seeking a skilled and passionate Sushi Master to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in sushi preparation and a deep understanding of Japanese cuisine. As a Sushi Master, you will be responsible for crafting high-quality sushi dishes that delight our customers while maintaining the highest standards of food safety and presentation. This role requires creativity, precision, and a commitment to excellence in the kitchen. Training is available.

Responsibilities

Prepare a variety of sushi dishes, including nigiri, sashimi, and rolls, using fresh ingredients. Ensure all food is prepared according to established recipes and presentation standards. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the sushi station and kitchen area. Adhere to food safety guidelines and regulations to ensure the health and safety of customers. Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate meal preparation and service. Train and mentor junior kitchen staff in sushi preparation techniques. Stay updated on current trends in sushi cuisine and incorporate innovative ideas into menu offerings. Provide exceptional service by engaging with customers when necessary to enhance their dining experience.

Skills

Proven experience in food preparation, specifically in sushi making. Strong cooking skills with an emphasis on Japanese cuisine. Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling techniques. Previous restaurant or kitchen experience is essential. Excellent meal preparation skills with attention to detail in presentation. Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high-quality standards. Strong communication skills for effective collaboration within the kitchen team. A passion for the food industry and commitment to continuous learning.
