We are seeking a skilled and passionate Sushi Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and cooking, with a particular focus on sushi and Japanese cuisine. As a Sushi Chef, you will be responsible for creating high-quality sushi dishes that meet our restaurant's standards while ensuring exceptional food safety and hygiene practices.
Duties
Prepare and present sushi dishes according to the restaurant's menu and customer preferences.
Ensure the freshness and quality of all ingredients used in meal preparation.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including proper food handling practices.
Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours.
Monitor inventory levels of sushi ingredients and communicate needs to management.
Adhere to all food safety regulations and guidelines to ensure a safe dining experience for guests.
Stay updated on sushi trends and techniques to continually enhance menu offerings.
Experience
Proven experience as a Sushi Chef or in a similar role within the food industry.
Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety standards.
Previous experience in a restaurant setting is highly desirable.
Familiarity with various types of fish, seafood, and traditional Japanese ingredients is a plus.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
