Job Summary

We are seeking a talented and passionate Sushi Chef to join our culinary team. As a Sushi Chef, you will play a vital role in creating delicious and visually appealing sushi dishes that delight our guests.

Responsibilities

Prepare and create a variety of sushi rolls, sashimi, and other Japanese dishes with precision and attention to detail. Ensure all ingredients are fresh, properly stored, and prepared according to food safety standards. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including workstations, tools, and equipment. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours. Monitor inventory levels of sushi ingredients and communicate needs to management. Stay updated on current food trends and techniques in sushi preparation. Provide exceptional service by engaging with customers when necessary and ensuring their dining experience is memorable.

Skills

Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, and food handling within the restaurant or food service industry. Strong knowledge of sushi techniques, ingredients, and presentation styles. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment while maintaining high-quality standards. Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational skills. Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices for meal preparation. Previous kitchen experience is preferred; restaurant experience is a plus.
