We are seeking a skilled and passionate Sushi Chef to join our vibrant culinary team. Duties
Prepare and assemble a variety of sushi, sashimi, and other Japanese dishes with attention to presentation and quality.
Handle all aspects of food preparation, including slicing, rolling, and plating sushi items.
Ensure all ingredients are fresh, properly stored, and handled according to food safety standards.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the sushi station and kitchen area in compliance with health regulations.
Serve customers efficiently while providing excellent food service and engaging with guests professionally.
Assist with meal preparation for other menu items as needed, supporting overall kitchen operations.
Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and communicate supply needs to management promptly.
Qualifications
Proven experience as a Sushi Chef or in a similar role within a restaurant or food service setting.
Strong skills in sushi making, including serving, food preparation, cooking, and meal presentation.
Knowledge of food handling procedures, food safety standards, and sanitation practices.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Excellent knife skills and familiarity with Japanese cuisine techniques preferred.
Previous experience in the food industry or kitchen environment is highly desirable.
