We are involved in complex legal, construction, and engineering surveying projects across British Columbia and Yukon. The Survey Assistant Position requires a personable individual who is highly organized, adept at setting priorities, with the ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment. The successful candidate, under the supervision of senior personnel, will be trained for supporting the organization and daily operations of the office, assisting in the field, providing logistics for field crews, and supporting management and professional staff. Job Duties:
Assisting Surveyor with field tasks, including:
Setting up and putting away survey equipment
Loading and unloading equipment in the truck
Using survey equipment under the direction of field supervisor (Survey Crew Chief)
Maintaining accurate field records of field tasks performed
Basic computer tasks such as data entry and correspondence
Maintaining truck preparedness and cleanliness
Participation in safety program, including completion of associated paperwork
Working outside in a variety of locations and in all weather conditions
Position Requirements:
Completion of high school level education
Valid Class 5 driver\xe2\x80\x99s license and clean driving abstract
Ability to lift 40lbs and work outdoors
Previous surveying experience an asset
