As a multi-discipline firm of over 80 employees, including 6 Alberta Land Surveyors and 2 Canada Land Surveyors, we have dedicated most of our efforts serving the municipal, construction, resource development and housing sectors.OPPORTUNITYPals Geomatics Corp. is looking for an ambitious individual who is seeking a Survey Assistant position in a growing Edmonton Land Surveying Company.Reporting to the respective Department Manager in the Builder Services Division this position will be responsible for performing field survey work on Residential properties that are required for the development of the housing industry. At Pals Geomatics you will use our in-house customized tools and systems to perform these surveys in a cost effective and accurate manner.RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform Real Property Report, Grading Certificate, Stakeout field surveys, or other field surveys as required.
• Supervise and mentor additional field staff as required.
• Represent Pals in a professional and respectful manner.
• Be engaged with and proactively advance the Pals Health and Safety program.
• Responsible for the use and care of appropriate survey equipment and vehicles.
• Maintain supplies and resources to ensure field availability.
• Perform Drafting and/or technical support as required.

QUALIFICATIONS

• A valid class 5 driver's license and can provide a clean driver's abstract.
• Strong working knowledge of Robotic Total Station. Knowledge of Field Software and GNSS is an asset.
• Safety Certificates CSTS and First Aid are required. WHMIS and Ground Disturbance are an asset.
• An ability to work in a highly repetitive and fast paced environment.
• Able to work weekends and up to 12 hours per day.
