Job Title: Supply Teacher (Grades 3-12) - OCT Status Preferred

We are seeking a dynamic and adaptable Supply Teacher to join our team, catering to grades 3-12. OCT status is preferred but not mandatory for the right candidate. Essential qualifications include a minimum of 2 years of teaching experience, with a focus on working with students facing various learning disabilities (with low level behavioural support needs). The ideal candidate will demonstrate versatility, with preferred experience spanning across all grade levels. Your passion for inclusive education and ability to engage students with diverse needs will be integral to fostering a positive and supportive learning environment.

Responsibilities:

Coverage: Provide effective classroom management and instruction in the absence of the regular classroom teacher, ensuring a seamless continuation of the curriculum. Yard/Recess Duties: Supervise and engage with students during recess and lunch breaks, promoting a safe and inclusive playground environment. Assistive Technology: Utilize and support students in the use of assistive technology tools and resources to enhance their learning experience (must be able to use a projector/google doc). Collaboration: Work collaboratively with school staff, including educational assistants and special education professionals, to address the individualized needs of students. Flexibility: Demonstrate adaptability by being prepared to teach a variety of subjects and grade levels based on daily assignments. Behavior Management: Employ effective behavior management strategies to maintain a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere.
