Position Overview:

The Supply Teacher provides instructional and supervisory coverage for classes when regular teachers are absent. This role requires professionalism, adaptability, and a strong ability to maintain a positive, structured, and engaging classroom environment aligned with Fieldstone's academic and behavioural standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver lessons and supervise students in accordance with the teacher's lesson plans and school policies. Manage classroom routines effectively to ensure a safe, respectful, and productive learning environment. Provide support and continuity of instruction in alignment with the school's curriculum and teaching practices. Supervise students during recess, lunch, and transitions as needed. Report any incidents, student concerns, or classroom issues promptly to administration. Maintain confidentiality and uphold all school policies and expectations regarding professional conduct.

Qualifications and Skills:

Bachelor's Degree (Education preferred) and/or OCT certification (or equivalent) an asset. Previous experience teaching or working with children in an academic setting. Strong classroom management and communication skills. Ability to adapt quickly to different grade levels and subject areas. Reliability, punctuality, and professionalism are essential.

Must have a valid and current Vulnerable Sector Police Check available prior to employment.
