Job Description

We are seeking a versatile and enthusiastic educator to join our team in a

multi-role position

. The successful candidate will teach daily French lessons to our Grade 1 class, supervise the Afterschool Program, and be available as a Supply Teacher when needed.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys variety, is fluent in French, and has a passion for supporting children in both academic and recreational settings.

Responsibilities:

French Instruction (2:00-3:00 PM, Monday-Friday):

Teach engaging, age-appropriate French lessons to Grade 1 students. Foster a positive and interactive language-learning environment.

Afterschool Program (3:30-5:30 PM, Monday-Friday):

Supervise and manage the aftercare program for children ages 3-7. Plan and lead fun, safe, and inclusive activities. Ensure children's safety and well-being during the program.

Supply Teaching (as needed):

Provide classroom coverage for teachers when required. Follow lesson plans and maintain classroom routines.

Qualifications:

Fluency in French (spoken and written). Teaching experience with children (Grade 1 or early years experience preferred). Strong classroom management and organizational skills. Experience working in childcare or afterschool programs is an asset. CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain). Flexible, reliable, and collaborative personality.

Schedule:

French Instruction: Monday-Friday, 2:00-3:00 PM Afterschool Program: Monday-Friday, 3:30-5:30 PM Additional hours as needed for supply teaching.
