The Opportunity:



We are looking for a

Supply Planner & Scheduler

to join our growing

Planning and Logistics team

. This is a new role, created to support the expansion of our Student Nutrition Programs (SNPs), enabling us to provide even greater support to the communities we serve. You will play a key role in executing the daily and weekly supply chain to ensure thousands of students have daily access to nutritious meals that support their learning and well-being.

Reporting to the Senior Planner, this role translates the master plan into daily execution steps, manages all of the exceptions to the expected supply plan and reconciles plan to actual data with vendors and for internal reporting. Critical metrics influencing this role's activities include product quality going to programs, supply alignment with menu needs and "on time in full" (OTIF) delivery performance.

Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to address and resolve delivery and menu-related concerns efficiently and collaboratively with schools, Student Nutrition Program Coordinators, and internal teams.

Analyze and interpret data from schools and business processes to identify trends and opportunities for workflow improvements that align with the organization's strategic goals.

Finite scheduling of school deliveries - short-term (2 to 4 weeks out) execution of the product supply plans;

Ensure the schedule of deliveries is supported by timely and accurate pick, pack and ship documentation (e.g. packing slips and instructions);

Adjust the deliveries and shipment schedules according to the weekly status updates on inventory received from the nutrition programs;

Ensure an accurate and timely central shipment record of all outbound orders for product moving to schools, including from TFSS, 3rd party providers and delivery partners (e.g. North York Harvest and Second Harvest);

Ensure a system for maintaining both plan and actual shipments records for the purpose of performance reporting and accurate accounting records;

Working with the Senior Planner and Procurement team, align program needs/menus and SNP feed-back and intelligence with available supply options for the programs. This includes collaboration with Procurement to introduce appropriate variety and substitutions;

Through timely and accurate updates of out-bound delivery shipping records, ensure that vendor invoices can be reconciled against TFSS purchase orders and shipments in a timely manner;

Monitor and develop key performance indicators (KPIs) such as OTIF (On Time In Full), product quality, and service responsiveness to inform planning.

Education, Experience and Skills Requirements:



2-3 years of experience in supply and delivery coordination.

Post-secondary education in supply chain, logistics, business administration or a related field

Experience with planning and scheduling systems and APICS certification is highly desirable.

Strong analytical, problem-solving and organizational skills with high attention to detail.

Demonstrated ability to adapt and thrive in dynamic, rapidly evolving and high growth work environments.

Highly skilled in Excel with experience in data analysis, reporting, and workflow optimization.

Experience in food distribution and knowledge of food handling and nutrition programs is an asset.

Work location, Compensation and Hours



This role will work in our primary office location 201 Gracefield Ave, North York, ON M6L 1L7

Eligible to participate in TFSS hybrid (remote/in-office) work program (min. 2 days in-office)

The salary range for this position is $60,000 to $65,000 annually

Three weeks' vacation plus a comprehensive benefits package

The work hours are Monday to Friday, 35 hours per week
