Yates and Co. is a small Toronto based Canadian company that sells and distributes Men's and Women's clothing across Canada. This is an in person opportunity at Yates & Co. Toronto Office. GOAL: The successful candidate will be responsible for managing Yates & Company?s crossdock business ensuring timely delivery of products to customers. You will be working closely with internal teams, brands, customs brokers and 3rd party warehouse.
Supply Chain & Logistics
  • Coordinate with Customs Broker on a daily basis
  • Research economical shipping options to import goods into Canada
  • Responsible for monitoring & tracking shipments in transit
  • Troubleshooting any logistical issues
  • Ensuring that accounting is prepared for inbound shipments with reporting
  • Responsible for accurately invoicing all goods within 12 hours of goods shipped
  • Ensure we follow Shipping Guidelines outlined by speciality and major retailers
  • Provide Director of Logistics and sales team updates on inbound shipments
  • Manage virtual inventory

3rd Party Warehouse
  • Communicating with the warehouse through FTP software and trackers
  • Recording inbound shipments using warehouses FTP software
  • Managing shortages from warehouse receiving and updating our system
  • Create pick tickets and sending in orders to the warehouse
  • Responsible for loading all UPC into the system for easy receiving at the warehouse

Inbound Office Shipments
  • Coordinate inbound production shipments into the Toronto office
  • Responsible for receiving small production shipments into our office. Ensuring that orders get picked, packed, invoiced and shipped to customers. Ability to lift up to 35lbs.

Customer Service
  • Answering shipping related inquiries with customers by email and by phone
  • Providing customers with missing invoices and retail prices
  • Periodically sending out customer statements

MUST HAVE
  • Bachelor?s Education with Supply Chain, Business and/or equivalent
  • Microsoft Excel Proficiency
  • Retail experience
  • Critical thinking and problem solving skills
  • Computer savvy
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Accurate and detail oriented
  • Managing and prioritizing your time
  • Sense of urgency
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Organized and able to time manage
