Join Nasittuq for a unique and rewarding experience! Nasittuq provides Operation & Maintenance services for the North Warning System (NWS). The NWS is a joint Canada and United States early-warning radar system with 47 sites located in Northern Canada; a Control Centre and Support Centre located in North Bay, ON and a Contract Management Office located in Ottawa, ON. SCOPE: The Supply Chain Specialist is responsible to coordinates the repair of DND and Nasittuq assets. Please note: This is a full time, in person, Unionized role located at our Support Centre in North Bay, ON. RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Planning and coordinating with vendors to ensure efficient and effective repair processes.
• Establish clear communication with vendors and work collaboratively to identify potential issues and develop solutions to address them.
• Manage the workflow of repairs in Maximo.
• Source new repair vendors.
• Evaluating and reviewing repair cost estimates from vendors to ensure that the repair costs are reasonable and competitive i.a.w. with Nasittuq procedures.
• Tracking and reporting cost
• Liaison with the customer on repair approvals.
• Creating purchase orders in Oracle and Maximo.
• Approving and completing repair work orders in Maximo
• Handle, package, and label materials for shipment
• Operates material handling equipment and performs manual labour duties, maintains good housekeeping practices.
• Coordinate transportation material between sites and vendors:
• Maintaining general tidiness and warehouse organization
• Assist in effecting design changes to improve equipment efficiency and/or reducing cost of operation.
• Performs other duties/projects as assigned, to support the overall program and mission, and other initiatives of Nasittuq.

QUALIFICATIONS: Education:

• High School diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience

Experience:

• Previous experience working in a high-volume inventory control, shipping/receiving, computerized warehouse or distribution facility.
• Experience handling Government Furnished Equipment (GFE) and associated control processes.
• Experience utilizing inventory control software application on personal computers.

KNOWLEDGE OF:

• Knowledge of inventory control processes and/or software applications

COMPETENCIES / SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

• Proficient with MS Word and Excel and previous knowledge/use of databases (Maximo)
• Customer service training/skills

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Maximo and Oracle experience.
