Supervisor, Heavy Equipment & Cargo

to join our growing operations in

Rankin Inlet, Nunavut

. In this key leadership role, you'll oversee a talented team and ensure every project runs safely, efficiently, and with excellence.

From resource planning and logistics to equipment management and customer relations, you'll play a vital role in supporting a wide range of services -- including earthworks, snow clearing, cargo movement, and fleet operations. Key Responsibilities



Supervise and support the team, providing guidance, direction, and hands-on assistance. Plan staffing levels, create work schedules, and allocate tasks for optimal productivity. Deliver outstanding customer service by ensuring all client needs are met on time and professionally. Assist in bid preparation, estimating labor, materials, and equipment costs while monitoring market opportunities. Collaborate with maintenance teams to ensure all equipment remains in top working condition. Keep staff informed about regulations, licensing, and best practices related to equipment and dangerous goods. Develop and implement strategies to improve operational efficiency and safety. Work with the Operations Coordinator on billing, inventory tracking, and customer documentation. Oversee accounts receivable to ensure timely and accurate payments. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment. Stay up to date on industry standards and emerging technologies.

Qualifications



3+ years of supervisory experience including planning, scheduling, and managing teams. Class 3 license with airbrake endorsement is an asset. Hands-on experience operating heavy equipment; fuel handling experience is an advantage. Solid understanding of equipment maintenance and repair processes. Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and customer service abilities. Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced setting. Experience working in

remote or northern environments

is preferred. Must be willing to

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $80,000.00-$85,000.00 per year
