Position Summary:
Step into a pivotal leadership role at the YMCA, where you'll inspire and guide a dynamic team of educators in our licensed childcare programs in Belleville. As Supervisor of Childcare, you'll champion the YMCA Mission, Core Values, and Philosophy, ensuring every child and family experiences a safe, nurturing, and enriching environment. In this role, you will lead with purpose, motivating and empowering YMCA staff to deliver exceptional childcare programming. This position is also responsible for overall management and implementation of the "Playing to Learn" curriculum for toddler and preschool staff.

Responsibilities:
Cultivate a positive, collaborative workplace where children, families, and staff thrive together.
Provide direct leadership and support to the daily operations of our toddler and preschool programs, bringing the "Playing to Learn" curriculum to life through creative, engaging, and developmentally appropriate experiences.
Ensure full compliance with Ministry of Education regulations, upholding the highest standards of quality and safety and maintain the Policies and Procedures outlined by the YMCA. (Including the "Playing to Learn" curriculum guidelines).
Recruit, hire, and train educators, while providing hands-on coaching and mentorship to inspire their growth and cultivate a culture of continuous learning and professional excellence.
Create an annual budget and manage the allocated budget throughout the year.
Manage and create schedules and inputting data into Dayforce, ensuring seamless staffing and program delivery.
A member of the Senior Staff team, supporting philanthropic initiatives and YMCA events.
Reporting Relationships:
Direct Reports: Full Time & Part Time childcare staff and volunteers
Reports to: VP, Children & Family Services
What you will bring to the position:
Registered (with the College) - Early Childhood Education
Sound working knowledge and application of the Child Care and Early Years Act
Strong interpersonal skills
Computer literate and working knowledge of Microsoft Word/Excel
Experience with Dayforce is an asset
Experience:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in a licensed childcare setting
Program and budget management experience
Previous experience with recruitment, hiring, performance management and training/supervision of staff
Working Conditions:
Some weekends and evenings may be needed from time to time
Multiple time and task pressures
May include out of town meetings, training, travel and work
Requirement of Standard First Aid and CPR Level C
Clear Criminal Record and Vulnerable Sector check
