Who are we?Located just minutes from downtown Montreal, LUX FBO is a fast-growing company operating a FBO/Fixed-Base Operation service at St-Hubert Airport (CYHU). LUX also operates a terminal at Quebec City\'s Jean Lesage International Airport (CYQB).Our parent company, Chrono Aviation, was founded in Quebec City in 2012. In its early days, the company operated a Pilatus PC-12 and employed two pilots. Today, Chrono Aviation has a fleet of 15 aircraft and a team of 280 employees.Role and contextThe Air Freight Supervisor is responsible for the coordination and supervision of air freight operations, ensuring efficiency, safety and regulatory compliance. This role involves managing a team responsible for the handling, loading and unloading of air cargo, as well as liaising with various departments to ensure that cargo operations run smoothly.Key responsibilities

• Supervising and coordinating the loading, unloading and handling of air freight.

• Ensuring compliance with national and international regulations on the transport of goods.

• Managing freight inventory and documentation

• Coordinating the team\'s work schedules to optimise operational efficiency.

• Training and coaching employees on safety procedures and good practice.

• Working with customs and airport authorities to ensure compliance and efficient operations.

• Monitor handling equipment to ensure it is in good working order and coordinate any necessary repairs.

• Develop and implement strategies to improve freight management processes.

• Maintaining regular reports on operational performance and key indicators.

• Resolving operational and logistical problems proactively.

Specific job requirements

• Secondary school diploma or equivalent; a degree in logistics, transport or management would be an asset.

• Previous experience in air freight management or a similar role.

• In-depth knowledge of freight transport regulations, including IATA and aviation safety regulations.

• Team management and supervision skills.

• Ability to use freight management software and standard IT tools.

• Knowledge of customs procedures and administrative formalities relating to freight.

• Experience of solving logistics problems in a dynamic environment.

• Fluency in French is required for this position. A thorough knowledge of English is also required in order to interact with English-speaking customers in Canada and elsewhere in the world.
